Research Supplements to Promote Diversity in Health-Related Research	varies	Provides administrative supplements to existing grants to improve the diversity of the research workforce by recruiting and supporting students, postdoctorates, and eligible investigators from groups that have been shown to be underrepresented in health-related research.
NCI Mentored Research Scientist Development Award to Promote Diversity (K01)	NIH standard dates	The purpose is to enhance the diversity of the NCI-funded cancer research workforce by supporting eligible individuals from groups that have been shown to be underrepresented in the biomedical, behavioral, social and clinical sciences.
NCI Transition Career Development Award to Promote Diversity (K22)	NIH standard dates	Invites applications from recipients of the NCI Mentored Career Development Award to Promote Diversity, or from advanced postdoctoral and/or newly independent research scientists who are from backgrounds underrepresented in biomedical, behavioral, clinical, and/or social sciences.
NHLBI Mentored Career Development Award to Promote Faculty Diversity in Biomedical Research (K01)	varies	Invites applications from institutions with eligible faculty members to undertake special study and supervised research under a mentor who is an accomplished investigator in the research area proposed and has experience in developing independent investigators.
NINDS Faculty Development Award to Promote Diversity in Neuroscience Research (K01)	NIH standard dates	The purpose is to diversify the pool of independent neuroscience research investigators by providing junior faculty with research cost support, protected research time and career stage appropriate professional development mentorship in neuroscience research.
NINDS Advanced Postdoctoral Career Transition Award to Promote Diversity in Neuroscience Research (K22)	NIH standard dates	This opportunity provides individuals from diverse backgrounds with strong training in neuroscience with the resources and tools that will help facilitate a transition to a stable and productive independent research position.

American Astronomical Society, Annie Jump Cannon Award	June 30	The award is given to a North American female astronomer within five years of receiving her PhD in the year designated for the award.
American Chemical Society, Francis P. Garvan-John M. Olin Medal	November 1	The award recognizes distinguished service to chemistry by women chemists.
American Physical Society, Edward A. Bouchet Award	June	The award promotes the participation of under-represented minorities in physics by identifying and recognizing a distinguished minority physicist who has made significant contributions to physics research.
American Physical Society, Maria Goeppert Mayer Award	June	The award recognizes and enhance outstanding achievement by a woman physicist in the early years of her career, and provides opportunities for her to present these achievements to others through public lectures.
American Psychiatric Association, Diversity Awards and Fellowships	varies	APA awards include the Spurlock (Jeanne) Minority Fellowship Achievement Award and the Symonds (Alexandra) Award for a woman psychiatrist.
Association of Women in Mathematics, Travel Grants	varies	The AWM offers several travel grants.
Burroughs Wellcome Fund, Postdoctoral Enrichment Program	January	The program supports the career development activities for underrepresented minority postdoctoral fellows in biomedical or medical research. This grant is meant to supplement the training of postdocs whose research activities are already supported.
Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, FASEB Excellence in Science Award	Spring	The award is given in recognition of outstanding achievement by women in biological science.
Ford Foundation Fellowship Programs	December	The Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students.
Phi Beta Kappa, Mary Isabel Sibley Fellowship	January	Candidates must be unmarried women 25 to 35 years of age who have demonstrated their ability to carry on original research. The annual fellowship is awarded alternately in the fields of Greek and French.
