|| The program supports the career development activities for underrepresented minority postdoctoral fellows in biomedical or medical research. This grant is meant to supplement the training of postdocs whose research activities are already supported.

Experimental Biology, FASEB Excellence in Science Award
|| The award is given in recognition of outstanding achievement by women in biological science, and includes
a $10,000 unrestricted research grant.
|Ford Foundation Fellowship Programs
|| The Foundation seeks to increase the diversity of the nation’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students.
|Marine Biological Laboratory, Whitman Center Research Awards
|| Support is available for scientists to come to the MBL for 4 to 10 weeks to conduct research. Preference is given to early-stage investigators, those new to the MBL, women, and minorities.
|Phi Beta Kappa, Mary Isabel Sibley Fellowship
|| Candidates must be unmarried women 25 to 35 years of age who have demonstrated their ability to carry on original research. The annual fellowship is awarded alternately in the fields of Greek and French.
