Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory sent the following notification to the Sponsored Projects Office.

From: Beato, Jean-Paul Rosales
Date: Wed, Mar 4, 2020

The Laboratory is closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak and has implemented contingency planning to ensure the health of employees and safety of operations. In order to help contain the spread of the COVID-19, the Laboratory is requesting all subcontractors and consultants performing work on-site at LLNL facilities take the following measures:

CDC Guidelines: Stay abreast of and follow CDC guidelines and take the necessary precautions to limit exposure to the virus.

Employees Displaying Symptoms of COVID-19: We ask that you refrain from sending your employees or lower-tier subcontractor employees to LLNL if they display symptoms of COVID-19. Please encourage such employees to contact their health care professional.

Employees Who Recently Travelled to Impacted Countries: If you or your lower tier subcontractors have any employees who have travelled in the last 14 days to or though China, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Iran, or any additional countries of concern that may be identified by the CDC, or who have come in contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19, we ask that you refrain from having them come on site to LLNL facilities until the 14 day period has passed and the employee(s) remain symptom free.

If you have any questions or concerns about this notification, please contact me at or (925) 423-2729.

We appreciate your vigilance and cooperation in helping contain the spread of COVID-19.
